Mr Nicolas Furio joined UNIFE in November 2010 and is UNIFE Head of Technical Affairs. He is responsible for the management of the UNIFE Technical Affairs Unit dealing with UNIFE activities linked to R&I and Regulation/Standardisation. Nicolas is supervising many European research projects (e.g. Shift2Rail projects) and is following Horizon Europe discussion and the preparation of the potantial succesor of Shift2Rail. He is also involved in the ERRAC Secretariat (European Rail Research Advisory Council). He previously gained experience in transport project management as project engineer in France in an engineering company (Egis Rail), which designs urban and railway transport projects. Having graduated with a first degree in Civil Engineering from Engineering School INSA in Lyon, he went on to complete a specialised Master in industrial strategy from EM Lyon Business School.
